About the Research
An Independent Research Initiative
The Leadslane Research Program was established to better understand the evolving business, technology, and marketplace forces shaping independent private practice.
Our studies examine structural trends affecting Marriage & Family Therapists and other specialized healthcare professionals, with the goal of producing practical, data-driven insights that support long-term practice sustainability.
Who is conducting this research?
The research is conducted independently by Leadslane.org, under the direction of Omkar Patel, Research Director.
Leadslane.org is the research and intelligence division of the Leadslane ecosystem, dedicated to studying marketplace dynamics, search behavior, and the economic resilience of independent professional practices.
Why is Leadslane.org conducting this research?
Independent practitioners are navigating one of the most significant periods of change in recent history.
Artificial intelligence, evolving search behavior, changing referral patterns, insurance pressures, and shifting client expectations are reshaping private practice.
Our objective is to document these changes through independent research and publish findings that help practitioners make more informed strategic decisions.
Responses are analyzed only in aggregate.
Individual answers are combined to identify national and regional trends, recurring themes, and statistically meaningful patterns.
Published reports present overall findings rather than individual responses.
How are participants selected?
Reserve your complimentary copy of the findings?
How will the data be analyzed?
Participation is entirely voluntary.
Invitations are extended directly to licensed Marriage & Family Therapists practicing independently throughout the United States.
Our goal is to build a geographically diverse sample representing practitioners across different states, practice sizes, and levels of professional experience.
Will my responses remain confidential?
Yes.
Individual responses are never published or shared.
No participant is identified in any report, presentation, or publication.
All published findings represent aggregated analysis designed to protect participant confidentiality.
Is this research affiliated with AAMFT or any other professional organization?
No.
The Leadslane Research Program is an independent initiative and is not commissioned, endorsed, or sponsored by AAMFT, any state association, government agency, or regulatory body.
The findings represent independent analysis conducted by Leadslane.org.
Why should practitioners participate?
Independent practitioners collectively possess an extraordinary amount of experience, yet much of that knowledge remains undocumented.
By contributing to these studies, participants help build a clearer picture of the challenges, opportunities, and structural changes affecting the profession.
Each completed study contributes to a growing body of independent research designed to strengthen the long-term sustainability of private practice.
Leadslane.org exists to study the marketplace surrounding independent practice - not to influence clinical decisions, but to help practitioners better understand the economic and technological forces shaping the future of their profession.
